Starting mid june 2011, the use of the Colorware products is managed via the Colorware License System (CLS). Via the CLS, your licenses are deployed on a ‘per seat’ basis. This means that for each client version of the software you want to run, you need a separate seat license.
The CLS can run either as a stand alone service managing the local computer license or as a floating license server that manages all your client seats from one central computer in the network. The latter would allow you to install as many clients as you want because the individual licenses are only activated upon software launch. Also, you can provide specific licenses to different users for even more flexibility.
Registration and activation proces
Before you can use your software, you have to become a registered user, after which you will receive your software activation key. The complete process only takes a couple of minutes. Please note that you need an active internet connection on the computer running the CLS for the activation procedure.
1. User registration
Visit the Colorware License Website at http://license.colorware.eu.
If you have not registered before, follow the link to register yourself first. Fill out the form and press ‘Save changes’. You may choose a username and password. Make sure the email address you provide is correct as it is needed to check the user registration. You will then receive an email with a link to activate your user account. Click on the link to finish the user registration process.
You should have received a registration Voucher from your reseller with a description of the purchased software license and a ‘Registration code’ (xx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx).
Log in to the License website and click on ‘Register new product’ from the menu on the left.
Type in the registration code from the Voucher and click ‘Register product’.
You will be redirected to the ‘Product overview’ page and see an overview of your registered products and the ‘Activation key’ (XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX). This ‘Activation key’ is needed to actually activate your software product(s).

2. Software activation
Launch the Colorware software. when no license is found on your local computer or on your network, the License Manager is automatically started. Now, click on the ‘Activate’ button, type in your ‘Activation key’ and click ‘Next’.
That’s it! You may close the License Info application and launch your software.
